The Meerkats are minor characters in The Backyardigans. The Meerkats were puppets that only appeared in the unaired pilot Me and My Friends. At some point in the transition from live action to animation, they were removed.

They are three meerkats: a red one named Sima, a blue one named Omar, and a yellow one named Yousef.
